  1. It could have been a LOT worse. I would have liked to hear them talk about the more charitable side of furries though. But of course they mentioned the art instead. 7 out of 10 to G4 for content (3 out of 10 for the way they handled concerns post-con)

  2. Okay, it’s good coverage, but they did focus too much on suiters, which is disappointing given how much artists and writers *coughplug* are a part of the fandom. Oh, and damn did the sound editing guys go overboard. Still, could have been much worse, and that tail made those shorts drag, so I really can’t complain!

It was actually rather good. I knew it’d be an alright piece, concidering they’re last one on furries was alright. This was, silly and light hearted. Good fun it seems

  4. I liked it. 9/10. They did a really good job of covering as much as they could fit into the segment. The yiff was unnecessary but it is a big part of the fandom so you can’t blame them. Would have loved to see more though and less cheesy sound effects. 😛

  5. Ha I like how they covered most aspects of the event in such a short time.

  6. I’m never annoyed or bothered by any furry media coverage, even what generally is considered bad coverage (anything that mentions sex is always considered bad for some reason, idiots) it’s usually how furries respond I find myself annoyed with usually. I swear it comes off as “either make us look like elitist saints or BE GONE!” to me most of the time. But I’ll get off that “anything goes, deal with it.” stance for now.
Of course every girl picks a fox lol. Wolf Tpup is starting to become one of my faves. Why can’t we see more girls like her walking around the cons? Overall entertaining I liked it, there is only so much you can only really cover so much that will appeal to the general public. When we get a big budget furry style blockbuster movie or book is when we’ll see G4 cover conventions like this every year.

This is the reply I was going to make last night if I hadn’t been so exhausted. I mean, let’s be real, homefurs: I may not have gone to FWA, but if that Dealer’s Den had similar lineups of conventions I have attended, there were more dealers selling adult art/products than just the ones she covered. Either way, she presented it “tastefully,” by which I mean, she acknowledged it was there, but didn’t focus intently on it, nor did she seem shocked or offended by it. Let’s be honest, before y’all watched that clip, what were YOU looking at? *lawl*

I’ll agree with Elion at my disappointment that they focused only on fursuiters, and didn’t speak with anyone wearing less. But did you notice how Sara said her competing with other fursuiters was the “first ever Fursuit Olympics?” Hardly, my dear.

But overall, I think this proves that not all the press our kind gets is as bad (or exaggerated) as many of us make it out to be.

I’m absolutely titillated that they showed furries in such a positive fun-loving aspect. (And a bonus since I watch G4. YES <3) Even though AOTS is a little.. Er, Mature rated sometimes, the furporn isn't very surprising. They've done stranger on that show. All in all, I'm glad Sarah Underwood was such a good sport about the whole thing. That, and the fact that they showed us in a good light. GOOD GEEK NEWS SHOW. GOOD BOY ❤ xD
