What in the world is this?!

On the other hand the Hesperia Star reported supporter Pat Kohut saying, “People who have service animals have them for a reason. They are imperative to their care.” -Quote from the article (thank you, Secret_Wolf)

The woman used two rats on her shoulders to control seizures ..two rats.. little furry animals known for carrying diseases.. are able to control a seizure. Now I want to call a big BS on the woman. Ether she’s being tricked by her doctor or she’s tricking the world and the Disability act is just helping her

I dare anyone to find scientific evidence that rats can control seizures because I can’t. This is foolishness and I’m proud of the Tea Party, business owners and the Fed for raising hell about this.

    • Dude, pet rats are no more dangerous in terms of disease then other animals. It’s just the wild ones live in poor conditions, so as long as you take care of it, it will be fine. As for the seizure thing, Dogs and Cats have been shown the ability to predict oncoming seizures. I’m guessing this woman has found these rats do the same thing. And the only people who actually protested were the tea party. A group that has substanial evidence that it was created by big bussinesses to support them.

One: The woman said that they “controlled” or supressed her seizures. Not predicted them. There is no scientific proof of any animals being able to do taht. If she herself had ‘found it out’ then she has no right to force businesses to allow the rats into their property because she has no proof.

Two: It was the Tea Party, businesses and the Federal Government protesting the movement, re-read the article.

“On March 15, the federal government tightened its definition of what constitutes a service animal as part of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The new classification sanctions only dogs and in some cases, miniature horses.”

By doing that, it is protesting the idea of rats being service animals. One woman should not change and abuse the Disabilities Act just so she can bring her pets with her without medical and scientific proof. She is a pinhead!

That’s your option and I welcome it. Though I ask what makes me a jerk and how I am wrong.

  2. Most service animals are there usually to help the blind or help folks with seizure disorders (that I know of). so if the animal helps that person, what’s the problem?

She has no proof that her animals actually do those things. There is no scientific proof or medical proof that those actually work. If an animal can do it, it’s a rare case. I can not find any ‘training programs’ for rats to learn to detect and warn of incoming seizures.. But that isn’t the issue anyway!

This woman said that they ‘control’ her seizure. I have never heard of any animal being able to do that. It takes drugs and trained doctors to do that. If this woman found an animal who can control her seizures, why isn’t she getting a Nobel Peace Prize? Because she’s a nut and a pinhead!

  3. Well it doesn’t really matter what I think of this because any rallying the tea party does for or against should fail.

This is about if they should be allowed as ‘Service Animals’ not ‘Tools of War’.
