Germany's Beloved Polar Bear Knut Dies Suddenly

Knut, the polar bear cub, has its first public appearance with his keeper in the Berlin Zoo in 2007.

The four-year-old cub reportedly collapsed and died Saturday at the Berlin Zoo.

The world embraced Knut as our own after his mother rejected him shortly after birth. But Saturday, Knut passed away of unknown causes while alone in the zoo’s polar bear enclosure.

I say that this is proof that being alone is deadly. See where it says that it was alone, I ask how long it was alone (without any other polar bears). If it was never allowed to interact with other polar bears, then it could be that it thought it was the only one within it’s reach, so his body self terminated.

None the less, a very sad story.
